Nerve Surgery, Hand Surgery
Dr. Sheikh was named a 2011 “Top Doctor” in southern New Jersey’s SJ Magazine. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson Medical College and completed his fellowship training in peripheral nerve, hand and microsurgery at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Peripheral Nerve and the American Association for Hand Surgery. He specializes in minimally-invasive nerve decompressions in the upper and lower extremities, thoracic outlet syndrome and brachial plexus injuries. In addition to nerve and hand surgery, Dr. Sheikh is interested in the healing of chronic non helaing wounds. He helped establish and served as medical director at the Atlanticare Wound Healing Center in Atlantic County from 2005 to 2011. He recently help establish the Wound Care Center at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken active as medical director until 2014. He has published on topics from nerve decompression to hand surgery and wound care.
